The NIH Library is pleased to announce an exciting employment opportunity for an exceptional candidates to serve as an Information Architect in the Information Resources and Services Branch (IRSB). The NIH Library operates as the Division of Library Services (DLS) and is focal point for the exchange of biomedical and scientific information vital to the support of the research activities conducted at the National Institutes of Health. DLS also provides information services and resources to several other agencies within the Department of Health & Human Services.
The incumbent serves as the custom information solutions/digital initiatives lead Librarian, exercising an expert knowledge of library science and information architecture principles in the accomplishment of various library and scientific projects. The incumbent employs expertise in web development, content management systems (i.e. SharePoint and Drupal), information architecture, project management, collaboration, and team leadership. The incumbent will provide reference and research services in response to requests for information on biomedical subjects, and prepare literature searches and bibliographies on medical and/or scientific subjects using bibliographic biological research databases.
